Kids of Arkansas of Arkansas writes:
The kids did an assignment where they wrote what it meant to be a soldier and here are some things they said that I thought you soldiers should here and keep in mind. A soldier is an ordinary person doing extrordinary things for their country. They fight and serve and sacrifice there lives for us. They need heart, strength, and courage, and bravery, and commitment, but also a love for our country and the people in it. It means that you fight and believe in something, and no one can make you stop believing in it. A soldier is strong and looks out for each other. It means to have a good strong heart that can take most things, but somethings hurt. To be a good fighter, clever and true. To be loyal to your country and loving to your family. To be a soldier is to be invisible and strong. To be a soldier is to be you. A soldier is a hero, someone putting their life on the line to save us. So from the kids in Arkansas we thank you for being a soldier and our heroes. I thought this would remind all you soldiers just who you are and the support and love you have here. Thank you, Kids and others in Arkansas

My name is Craig, and I am a soider in a different army, I am a Christian missionary in Peru. I was a military brat as both my father, and grandad were fighter pilots. I was just blessed to help lead a team of short term missionaries into the Amazon basin and one of the members was staff Sergeant William (US Amry) and has done two tours in Irac, and one in Afganistan and plans on going back. He was a blessing telling us what you guys go through, and without Christ it would be Hell. Know your being prayed for on a daily basis, and my eight year old son would like to correspond with a soider that is on active duty overseas. He dreams of being a military pilot some day, and wants to share his child like faith to anyone who is willing to hear. God bless you guys, and thank you for all you do to keep freedom on our boarders. May the Lord bless thee, and keep thee safe. Pastor Craig

Hi! I just wanted to say that I am so completely blown away by all of your dedication and strength. So for that, thank you. Well, it's a new year. It's the big 2010. I hope you made your new year's wish. I'm sure it will come true, with all this hard work that you put out everyday, it's completely impossible it wouldn't. I hope you threw your wish out, into the universe. Just closed your eyes, wished as harddd as you can and someone heard it. And because of that, it's obviously going to come true. We will all continue to support you! Thank you a million times over, I'm increasingly grateful. Have an absolutely wonderful day :)

Carol for a Soldier May the crystal chimes of Christmas, Sing for you my son, So far from home this day. You stand your post, And hold your ground, In the endless fray. Cold or hot and always tired, You steel yourself with hope, To live just one more day. And dream of home, Inside your warrior heart. Still, You stand your post, And hold your ground. Freedom's time will come my son. Meanwhile may God bless you, And stand your post beside you, On this Christmas Day. ...J. B. Rudd, Vietnam Combat Veteran
